What can eat Black Soldier Fly larvae?

Reptiles, birds, fish, spiders... If it's an insectivore or insects compose a portion of its diet, it can eat black soldier fly larvae.

How should my larvae be stored?

If you are going to use all of your larvae in the next 2 weeks then you can keep them at room temperature.

If you'd like to store them for more than 2 weeks, store them at 55˚F. They will go dormant at this temperature.

What size larvae is right?

Most animals can safely eat something as big as the space between their eyes.

Why are my larvae turning dark brown or black?

Black soldier fly larvae turn dark brown or black as they get ready to pupate into adults.

My larvae didn't survive shipping, what should I do?

Should I calcium dust my larvae before feeding?

It's not necessary. Black Soldier Fly larvae are naturally high in calcium!
